Introducing New Executive Director, Becky Walliman!

Dear Girls on the Run Friends,

It’s a pleasure to greet you as the new Executive Director of Girls on the Run of Puget Sound! After more than seven years working for Girls on the Run in several different roles, it’s truly an honor to be selected to lead this organization as we embark on a new chapter. I’m thrilled and excited to work alongside the fabulous GOTRPS team as we work to grow and increase our impact, and grateful to have the support of a community that champions our mission – “to inspire girls to be healthy, joyful, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running”.

Like many of you, I have seen firsthand the powerful effect that Girls on the Run has on our participants, and I believe that all girls should experience the messages and lessons of competence, confidence, connection, character, caring, and contribution taught through our curriculum. Together with the talented and dedicated Girls on the Run staff and Board of Directors, we will continue our efforts to strategically increase our impact within King County. We intend to serve 2,500 girls during our spring 2019 season with a strong emphasis on creating an accessible, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants and families.

I want to thank each of you for your generous and ongoing support of Girls on the Run. Our successes, past and future, are only possible because of the incredible support from our community. As we enter into this new season for Girls on the Run, I would love to hear your ideas on how we can best work together as champions for girls, schools, and families in King County.  You can contact me anytime at and I look forward to collaborating.

With gratitude,

Becky Antilla Walliman
