Since January, our team of 30 amazing and inspiring SoleMates have worked tirelessly towards personal fitness goals, while supporting Girls on the Run of Puget Sound through fundraising efforts.
During our Spring 2016 GOTR season, SoleMates trained hard to prepare for their goal races of either the See Jane Run 5K & Half Marathon or the Northwest Passages Ragnar Relay (and in some cases, both races!), participating in weekly group run/walks, strength training sessions, and track workouts. While they were busy checking off workouts on their training plans, they were also busy creating new friendships, serving as Running Buddies for spring program participants, and fundraising to support scholarships for our future participants.
This awesome team has raised over $21,000 and counting to make sure that Girls on the Run is accessible to all girls in our community. This is our biggest SoleMates season EVER, both in terms of team members and fundraising, and we are incredibly grateful for this group’s hard work and dedication to both their running and fundraising goals! Thanks to their efforts, more than 7 full teams (113 girls!) will receive full scholarships during our next season.
We are honored to be supported by such an inspiring, enthusiastic, and FUN group of women! Thank you for all you do for GOTR and congratulations on your accomplishments this season.
