Girls on the Run has a new Executive Director

Dear GOTRPS Community,

On June 30 th, we bid a bittersweet farewell to Girls on the Run of Puget Sound’s beloved Executive Director, Kerin Brasch. After nine years of inspiring and empowering girls in our community, Kerin has begun the next chapter- a well-deserved retirement! Many of you have come to know and admire Kerin as much as we do and we hope you’ll join us in thanking her for her immense contributions to our organization and wishing her well on her exciting new adventures ahead.

Thanks to Kerin’s hard work and commitment to reaching and empowering an ever-growing number of girls, the future is bright for GOTRPS. Kerin’s numerous achievements during her time at GOTRPS include a 1,700% growth in program participants, building a strong and dedicated Board of Directors that supports and guides the direction of the organization, strengthening relationships with key community partners, and leading the development of a strategic vision plan that has allowed us to grow quickly but thoughtfully, with an eye towards increasing the accessibility and inclusivity of the program.

Among Kerin’s most significant achievements was hiring incoming Executive Director, Becky Walliman. Becky first joined the Girls on the Run team as Program Manager in 2011 and most recently served as our Development Director, where she has been instrumental in building community relationships and ensuring our financial stability as we expanded our program to new schools and communities. We are thrilled to announce that the GOTRPS Board of Directors has selected Becky to assume Executive Director responsibilities upon Kerin’s departure.

On behalf of the Board and Staff, we are so grateful for Kerin’s strong leadership since 2009 and look forward to an inspiring future ahead as Becky steps into the role of Executive Director ( read a note from incoming Executive Director, Becky Walliman ). We hope you’ll continue to be a valued part of our Girls on the Run community as we enter this exciting new chapter of expansion and empowerment. Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,
Jill Anderson
